We both love visiting Jake's family in Nashville. The city is full of great music, delicious food and the best shopping. While celebrating Valentine's Day weekend with Jake's cousin and her sweet family, we stopped on our way into downtown to eat at our favorite Nashville spot, The Frothy Monkey.
After a little shopping around town on foot, we decided to cross the pedestrian bridge which connects over to the Tennessee Titan stadium. We made a quick stop to take a few family pictures for Wes, Lauren, Coy and Baby #2 on the way. The Nashville skyline was perfection in the backdrop. A few pictures in, Lauren offered to take a few of us. We swapped sides of the camera and decided to exchange our Valentine's Day cards overlooking the city, instead of waiting until our dinner reservations later that night. I quickly drew out my typical cheesy card, made Jake laugh, then started to open his (usually similar) card for me. The pages were full of his lefty hand writing. It was full of sweet memories describing all the moments that he'd fallen in love with me over the last 3+ years. It ended with "...the only thing I know left to do is to make us official. What do you say???"
I tearily look up at at him while he drops to one knee and asks me to "make him the happiest man for the rest of his life..."
To which, of course, I said YES a thousand times!!!
